Zurich Classic Odds: Who Are the Favorites to Win?

Must read

So, I got sucked into the Zurich Classic this year, and let me tell you, it was a ride. This wasn’t my first rodeo with golf, but seeing those odds shift was something else. I started by scoping out who was playing. You know, just casually checking out the teams, getting a feel for the vibe.

Zurich Classic Odds: Who Are the Favorites to Win?

I saw that Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele were the big favorites, like 5-1 odds. These guys won it in 2022, so it made sense, but part of me always roots for the underdogs. Speaking of underdogs, I noticed Davis Riley and Nick Hardy were way down at 80-1. I thought, “Hey, maybe they’re due for another win?” They won last year, after all.

  • Checked out the favorites: Cantlay and Schauffele at 5-1.
  • Spotted the longshots: Riley and Hardy at 80-1.
  • Considered the field: Lots of strong duos, but these odds really painted a picture.

I spent a good chunk of time just watching how the odds moved. It was like a dance, really. One minute a team’s up, the next they’re down. And then, bam, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry swooped in and won it all in a playoff. Those guys are incredible, McIlroy with his 25th win and Lowry with his 3rd. What a show!

This whole thing reminded me why I love following sports. It’s not just about who wins or loses, but the stories, the surprises, and yeah, even those crazy odds. Cantlay and Schauffele might have been the safe bet, but McIlroy and Lowry proved that anything can happen on the course.

It was a wild tournament, and I enjoyed keeping tabs on those Zurich Classic odds. It definitely added another layer of excitement to the whole experience. Can’t wait to see what next year brings!
