Young Dean Martin: Crooners Early Days & Coolest Hits!

Must read

Okay, so I’ve been diving into this “Young Dean Martin” thing today, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip! I started out just kinda poking around, you know, seeing what all the fuss was about.

Young Dean Martin: Crooners Early Days & Coolest Hits!

First, I watched a bunch of old YouTube clips. Seriously, the guy was smooth. Like, impossibly smooth. I tried to mimic some of his moves in front of the mirror – total disaster. I looked more like a confused penguin than a suave crooner.

The Deep Dive

Then, I decided to get a little more serious. I created a playlist of his early stuff. I’m talking pre-Rat Pack, when he was still figuring things out. You can hear it in the music, you know? That raw talent just bubbling up.

  • “That Certain Party” – classic example of his early sound.
  • “Oh Marie” – that Italian influence is strong here.
  • “Memories Are Made of This” – okay, this one’s a bit later, but it’s a must-have.

Next, I spent a good hour just listening. No distractions, just Dean. I wanted to really feel the music, understand what made him tick. I even tried singing along, much to the annoyance of my neighbors, I’m sure.

Finally, I attempted to put it all together. The voice, the moves, the attitude. It’s… well, it’s a work in progress. Let’s just say I won’t be quitting my day job anytime soon. But hey, it was fun! And I definitely have a newfound appreciation for the young Dean Martin. The guy was a legend in the making.
