Okay, guys, let’s talk about what happened with the WWE Smackdown event in Orlando. I’ve been following this for a while, and I finally got to see it live. Let me tell you, it was a wild ride from start to finish.
So, first things first, I started looking into this event when I saw the announcement that WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown was coming back to Orlando. The date was set for Friday, August 16th. I got excited and started digging around to see what the buzz was all about.
I found out that the event was going to be held at the Kia Center. I heard that it’s a pretty big deal since it’s one of the last big shows before some major WWE event. I thought I have got to get my hands on these tickets.
Getting Ready
I started checking online for more details and saw that they had already announced some big names. Like, can you believe it? “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, was going to be there. I was like, “Sign me up!”

- Venue: Kia Center in downtown Orlando.
- Time: 7:45 PM.
I immediately looked for tickets. I tried to get my friends to come with me. Told them about the show. And they were like oh yes. We all got the tickets.
The Big Day
On the day of the event, we got to the Kia Center early. There were so many fans, everyone’s buzzing with excitement. We found our seats, and the energy in the place was just electric. You could feel it in the air, man.
The show kicked off, and it was non-stop action. We saw Drew McIntyre, the Intercontinental Champion Ricochet, and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos. Every match was crazier than the last one. The crowd was going nuts! I even saw some people cosplay as their favorite wrestlers. It is really a big deal.
And then, Cody Rhodes came out. The place went absolutely insane. People were on their feet, screaming their lungs out. It was one of those moments where you just had to be there. The match was intense. We were screaming and cheering our hearts out.
Post-Event Thoughts
After the event, we were all hyped up. We started talking about how awesome it was. I even heard some folks talking about the recent news that WWE Raw is going to be on Netflix. Apparently, they signed a huge $5 billion deal for 10 years. That’s massive! And they said something about all the weekly shows, including SmackDown, being available for viewers outside the US. How cool is that? I did not know about this before.
I also heard someone mention that Triple H confirmed on “The Pat McAfee Show” that SmackDown would go back to a two-hour format. Makes sense with all the changes happening. I knew some information about wrestling but not this deep. It is amazing to learn something new.
Anyway, the whole experience was unbelievable. If you ever get a chance to see a WWE event live, do it. It’s not just a show, it’s an experience. And seeing it in person? Totally worth it. I will go to the next show and will definitely share it with you guys!
