So, I decided I needed a pair of white golf pants. Saw a few guys rocking them on the course and thought, yeah, looks pretty sharp. My usual rotation of beige and navy felt a bit stale, you know? Time for a change.

Finding the right pair wasn’t super straightforward. First, I hit up a couple of local sports shops. Tried on a few. Some felt like wearing cardboard, really stiff. Others were way too thin, felt like everyone could see my boxers, not the look I was going for. And the prices on some? Wow. You’d think they were spun gold.
Then I looked online. So many options, which is good and bad. Hard to tell the fabric feel or the exact shade of white just from pictures. Read a bunch of reviews, which mostly confused me more. Some people loved a pair, others hated the exact same ones. Typical internet stuff.
Finally settled on a pair from a brand I’d bought shirts from before. Seemed like a safe bet. Ordered my usual size. They arrived pretty quick.
First Impressions and Getting Out There
Pulled them out of the package. Looked good. Nice bright white. Material felt decent, had a bit of stretch which is key. Tried them on, fit was okay, maybe a little snugger than my other golf pants but wearable.
The real test was the course, right? Wore them for a Saturday round. Felt a bit…exposed, I guess? Like wearing a big white target. Every speck of dirt, every blade of grass seemed magnetically attracted to them. Seriously. Knelt down to line up a putt, boom, green smudge on the knee. Brushed against the golf cart tire, black mark on the hip.

- They were comfortable enough for walking 18 holes.
- The stretch was good during the swing, didn’t feel restricted.
- Breathability was alright, maybe not the best I’ve worn on a hot day, but not terrible.
The Aftermath: Cleaning
Okay, so they look sharp, but man, keeping them clean is a whole other thing. Got home, and they looked like I’d been gardening, not golfing. Had to pre-treat the stains right away. Threw them in the wash, separate load obviously, used some special detergent for whites. They came out mostly clean, but I can see this being a regular battle.
So, the verdict? They look great, no doubt. Get compliments. But they are high maintenance. Not your throw-on-and-go pants. You gotta be prepared for the cleaning hassle. I’ll definitely wear them again, probably for nicer rounds or tournaments when I want to look the part. But for a casual knockabout round? I’ll probably stick to my less demanding khakis.
