Today, I spent the whole day messing around with this “winkle brown” thing. It was kinda frustrating, but also kinda fun in a weird way.
I started by, well, trying to figure out what it even was! I googled it a bunch of times, rephrasing my searches over and over. It felt like I was going in circles.
- First, I just typed in “winkle brown.” Nothing useful.
- Then, “winkle brown meaning.” Still nothing.
- “winkle brown tutorial,” “winkle brown guide,” “winkle brown for beginners”…you name it, I searched it.
Finally I tried to look into images and find some clue
The Middle (aka The Mess)
I decided to just dive in. That’s how I learn best. I opened up my file, create a simple file, And, started typing.
I tried a few different things, basically just throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what would stick. There was a lot of deleting, rewriting, and then deleting again. At one point, my file was just a jumbled mess, and I seriously considered just starting over from scratch.
Figuring it out
I kept pushing, it can be work if keep trying, I got a simple winkle brown done, and that’s all for today!
It’s not perfect, but it’s something. And tomorrow, I can come back to it with fresh eyes and make it even better. That’s the beauty of this kind of stuff – it’s a process, not a race.
