So, I got myself settled. Made a cup of tea, grabbed some biscuits. The usual routine, you know? Turned on the telly, started flicking through the sports channels first. Sometimes you get lucky, maybe it’s on one of the main ones. No dice this time, though. Not surprised, really.
Next step, fired up the laptop. Went to the usual streaming spots I check. Some are a bit dodgy, you know how it is, pop-ups everywhere. Clicked around for a bit. Found one that looked promising. Had the match listed. Good start.
Then the buffering started. Just that spinning circle, mocking me. My internet’s usually alright, not brilliant, but it gets the job done. Today? Felt like wading through treacle. Honestly frustrating.
I tried the old tricks. Rebooted the router. Waited a few minutes. Tried again. Same thing. Switched browsers, cleared the cache. Still choppy. Then I thought, maybe it’s the laptop? Grabbed my tablet. Logged in there. A bit better, maybe? Watched about five minutes, then it froze completely.
At this point, I was getting properly annoyed. You just want to watch a bit of footy, right? Shouldn’t be this hard. I could hear bits of commentary between the freezes, sounded like Peterborough were pressing early on, but who knows really.
Giving Up for a Bit
I decided to leave it for a while. Went and did some odd jobs around the house that needed doing. Put up that shelf that’s been sitting there for weeks. Came back later, thought I’d check the score at least.
Found a live score site. Much easier than finding a working stream, that’s for sure. Saw the final result. Can’t even remember who won now, think it was Peterborough? Or maybe Wimbledon edged it? The whole process just sort of drained the interest out of me.
It’s often like that, isn’t it? You plan to do something simple, relax, and technology or just life gets in the way. Spent more time fighting with the internet than actually watching anything. Ah well. Maybe I’ll catch the highlights later if I can be bothered. Probably not.
