My Quest for Play-Anywhere Gacha Games
Alright, so I got real tired of being glued to just one device lately. Gotta hop between iPad, Android phone, old iPhone… wanted some new gacha fun that just works anywhere I pick up a screen. Saw that promise a lot – “Play anywhere!” – but you know how that goes. Gotta put it to the test myself.

Started simple. I dug around the app stores on both my phone (Android) and my iPad. Used the search terms like “cross-platform gacha” and “sync account android ios.” That spewed out a bunch. Felt like looking for a decent snack in a messy pantry. Grabbed the first few that didn’t scream “only works on [Platform]”: “Evercore Heroes,” “Astral Prime,” and this new sci-fi one called “Cosmic Colony.”
First step was always the same: Download each game on both devices. Sounds easy, right? Ha.
- “Evercore Heroes”: Installed fine on both. Made an account on my Android phone. Tried logging in on iPad… bam! Little popup: “Account not found.” Uh oh. Searched every nook and cranny in both game menus and official sites. Zero info. Found buried in a forum: “Currently Android only. iOS support planned.” Not today! Deleted.
- “Astral Prime”: This one actually let me link via my social login! Logged into Google Play Games on Android, linked to Facebook. Got hopeful. Downloaded on iPad, logged in with Facebook… account found! Sweet! But… loading into tutorial… super slow on the iPad compared to my phone. Frame rate chugged like it was running on syrup. Playable? Technically yes. Enjoyable? Barely. Not what I wanted for mobile.
- “Cosmic Colony”: Downloaded. “Sign Up with Cosmic ID.” Okay, followed the prompts, created a new account using email+password specifically for their system. Played through tutorial on Android. Deep breath… open on iPad, enter same Cosmic ID. Holy cow – my base, resources, all there! Switched devices mid-mission! Worked! Smooth sailing on both platforms? Mostly. Noticeable lag spike on the older iPhone sometimes, but definitely acceptable!
Figured I needed more data points. Went back hunting, found two more promising ones: “Chrono Souls” and “Mythic Merge.” Same drill.
For “Chrono Souls”:
- Required an account on their own website first.
- Created it on my laptop.
- Logged into game on Android with that account – good!
- Logged into game on iOS with same account – good!
- Real test: Summoned a cool unit on Android. Closed. Opened iOS… unit there! Progress synced instantly. Big win! Ran smooth too.
For “Mythic Merge”:

- Promised cloud save via the platform store accounts (Play Games, Game Center).
- Played through tutorial on Android (Google Play Games active). Made progress.
- On iPad, Game Center logged in… Loaded game. Yep! My progress was right there. Seamless. No extra accounts, just baked into the system. Quick loading on both. Perfect!
So, What Actually Works?
After messing with my devices like a mad scientist swapping parts, here’s the real deal based on actually doing it:
- “Cosmic Colony” using their Cosmic ID: Flawless switching. No delays.
- “Chrono Souls” via website account: Rock solid. Save data moves fast.
- “Mythic Merge” using Play Games/Game Center: Just works out of the box. Super simple.
The rest? Mostly marketing fluff or “coming soon.” “Astral Prime” only counts if you really don’t mind the slog. Learned the hard way: Don’t trust the big splash screen. Make that account, log in on the other device right away. That’s the only test that matters. Saved me hours of grinding for nothing!
