So, I’ve been messing around with this game, FIFA, you know, the soccer one. I wanted to check out all the different modes they got, see what’s what. Started off with the Ultimate Team thing. It’s kinda like collecting cards, but with players. You gotta build your own team, and honestly, it felt like it took forever to get anywhere good. I spent hours grinding, trying to get decent players, and it was a slow burn. But I guess that’s the hook, right? They want you to keep coming back, trying to improve your squad. Used to be my favorite until I discovered the others.

Next up, I dove into Career Mode. Here you can either be a player or a manager, so I tried both. As a player, it’s all about improving your own skills, getting noticed, and moving up the ranks. But let me tell you, the manager route, that’s where it’s at! Especially in FC 24, you can watch the games in Tactical View without needing any mods, which is pretty cool. Felt like a real coach, making all the decisions, scouting new talent, dealing with the board. It’s way more engaging than just playing the matches yourself, at least for me. Actually, it has become my favorite way to play the game.

Then there are these Seasons and Co-op Seasons. They’re pretty straightforward. Seasons is just you, playing online against other folks. Co-op Seasons is the same deal, but you team up with a buddy. Nothing too fancy, but a good way to kill some time and have a bit of a laugh, especially in co-op. Tried both. They were fun, but didn’t really stick with me.

After that, I gave Pro Clubs a shot. This one’s all about creating your own virtual player and playing online with a bunch of other people. You all control your own guy, and the idea is to work together as a team. It’s cool in theory, but honestly, it was a bit of a mess when I tried it. Maybe I just got unlucky with the teammates, but it felt like everyone was just trying to be the star, not really playing as a unit. Scored a few goals though, so that was something, I guess.

And lastly, I checked out FUT Friendlies. This is where you can play against your friends or just random people online, but it’s more casual than Ultimate Team. You don’t have to worry about contracts or fitness or any of that stuff. It’s just straight-up soccer. I actually enjoyed this one quite a bit. It’s a good way to play without all the pressure of building the ultimate team. Played a bunch of matches, had some good games, some bad games. It’s a mixed bag, but definitely worth checking out if you want something more chill.
My Final Thoughts
So yeah, that’s my FIFA journey so far. I played a ton of matches, tried out all the modes, and had some ups and downs. Ultimately, I found that Career Manager was the most my jam. But hey, that’s just me. You might be all about that Ultimate Team grind or maybe you’re a Pro Clubs legend in the making. There’s a lot to explore in FIFA, so go check it out, and who knows, you might find your new favorite way to play.
