Alright, so yesterday, I wanted to catch the Astros game. I was at a friend’s house, and we are not in the same city, so I am not sure if the game could be on TV, you know what I mean?

First, I grabbed my phone and checked if it’s on . Since I am not in the local area, this seemed like a good option. They have this thing where you can stream out-of-market games live or whenever you want. They also had some pregame and postgame stuff, which is pretty cool.
- Opened the MLB app
- Checked for the Astros game
- Saw it was available for out-of-market streaming
But then, I thought about those free trials from DirecTV Stream and Fubo TV. I remembered they let you watch games for free for a bit. I have never tried them before, so I figured, why not?
- Looked up DirecTV Stream
- Checked for free trial options
- Did the same for Fubo TV
Then a buddy of mine told me about other platforms. I totally forgot that Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and even YouTube TV show games if they have Fox. I had used Hulu before, but only for watching some series, never thought about live sports on it.
- Recalled that Hulu has a Live TV option
- Noted that Sling TV and YouTube TV were also options
Watching Options
So basically, I found out I had a bunch of choices:
- for out-of-market games.
- DirecTV Stream and Fubo TV with their free trials.
- Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV if they had the Fox channel.
- Apple TV+ seems also having some games there.
Ended up using the Fubo TV free trial, and it worked out great! The game was awesome, by the way. It is really cool to know there are so many ways to watch games these days. No more missing out just because you are not in front of your own TV, or you do not have cable.
