What TV channel is tonights NFL game on? Find out where to watch.

Must read

Alright, so I wanted to catch tonight’s NFL game, but I totally blanked on where it was airing. No biggie, I’ve been down this road before. Here’s how I went about figuring it out.

First, I grabbed my phone and fired up my go-to search engine. I typed in something like, “NFL Network Schedule.” That usually does the trick. Boom, first result was exactly what I needed. It was a page listing all the NFL Network programs – you know, Good Morning Football, NFL Total Access, and most importantly, Thursday Night Football.

Figuring Out Where to Watch

So, the schedule confirmed there was indeed a game tonight. Great! But it didn’t tell me which specific channel it was on. I knew that some games are on regular networks, some are on cable, and these days, a bunch are even streamed.

Next, I remembered that a lot of games are on ESPN, ABC, CBS, and Fox. I went through my channel guide and checked their listings for the evening. Nothing.

Then it hit me – Amazon Prime! I recalled seeing something about them having Thursday Night Football. I checked their schedule, and yes, the game was on there. Bingo!

I also knew that some people like to watch games on this app called Tubi. I don’t use it, but I have checked it before just to see what they have. They stream free movies and shows, even some live sports, so I gave it a look. No NFL, but they did have some other interesting stuff.

The Old-Fashioned Way

If I hadn’t found the game by then, I had a couple more tricks up my sleeve. If you have cable like Xfinity, you can actually log in to their website and see your specific channel lineup, which is super helpful. You just put in your ID and password, and you’re good to go. There’s also this thing called DIRECTV, which is another satellite TV thing. They have their own channel guides to search for what’s on.

And if you’re just browsing, there are websites that list all the sports on TV for the week. You can filter by sport, day, time. I sometimes use that to see if there’s anything good on. I just searched for “Sports on TV This Week” or something like that. That is a good trick when you just want to see what is on.

Anyway, I was stoked to find the game on Amazon Prime. Kicked back, grabbed some snacks, and enjoyed the game. It’s always a little adventure figuring out where these games are, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
