Must read

Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out “Liverpool” in French:

So, I was writing this thing, you know, and I needed to use the word “Liverpool” but in French. I kinda blanked. I mean, I thought it was just “Liverpool,” but I wasn’t 100% sure. You don’t wanna look dumb, right?

My Little Adventure in Translation

First, I stared at the word “Liverpool” for a good minute. Does it even look French? Nope. Not really. My brain was going, “Maybe there’s an accent mark somewhere? A sneaky silent letter?”

Then, I did what any reasonable person would do: I typed it into a translator online. Just to double-check, you know? I didn’t want to get fancy, just the basic, “What’s ‘Liverpool’ in French?”

The translator popped up the result pretty quick: “Liverpool.” Huh. Okay, so I wasn’t totally off. It is just “Liverpool.” No extra letters, no weird pronunciation changes. That makes my life easier. I don’t have to learn anything new, I am very happy.

I will try my best to learn more French.
