What is Achilles Pressure Point? Easy-to-find location.

Must read

Okay, so I’ve been having this nagging pain in my heel for weeks. It’s been driving me nuts, especially when I try to work out or even just walk for a long time. I finally decided to do something about it and started poking around online. I kept seeing stuff about the “Achilles pressure point,” so I figured, why not give it a shot?

Finding the Spot

First things first, I had to actually find this magic pressure point. I found this online and it says to feel around your achilles. Turns out, it’s not actually on the Achilles tendon itself.

I sat down on the floor with my legs stretched out. Then I pinched and felt my achilles. I was groping around it.

The “Technique”

I’m no expert, so I just went with what felt right. Basically, I started by gently pressing on the spot with my thumb. It felt a little tender, but not super painful.

  • I held the pressure for maybe 10-15 seconds, then released.
  • I repeated this a few times, gradually increasing the pressure a little bit each time. I don’t used much strength.
  • I also tried making small circular motions with my thumb while pressing, just to see if that did anything.

Did it Work?

Honestly, I’m not sure. It’s hard to say if it made a huge difference. I think it maybe helped a little bit with the tightness. Maybe it increase my bloodflow?I don’t know. It felt kind of good to massage the area, even if it didn’t magically cure my pain.

I’ve only tried this a couple of times, so maybe it needs more time. Or maybe I’m doing it completely wrong! Either way, it was worth a shot, and it didn’t seem to make anything worse. I’ll probably keep messing around with it and see if it helps over time. I will keep doing it!
