Alright, so I wanted to jazz up my place a bit, and I stumbled upon these cool things called “noren”. Basically, they’re like these fabric dividers from Japan. I saw some pictures online, and I thought, “Hey, these look pretty neat!” So, I decided to get one for myself.

First, I checked out a bunch of different designs. Some had really intricate patterns, others were more simple and plain. I ended up picking one with a nice blue color and a simple wave design. I figured it would go well with my living room.
When it arrived, I was pretty excited to put it up. I decided to hang it in the doorway between my living room and kitchen. It was super easy to install, just slipped it onto a tension rod I already had.
Once it was up, I stepped back to take a look. It really changed the vibe of the room! It added a nice pop of color and made the space feel a bit more separated, but still open. Plus, it’s kind of fun to walk through it. It’s like a little mini-ceremony every time I go from one room to the other.
- Divided my space in a cool way.
- Added a splash of color.
- Changed up the whole feel.
Overall, I’m really happy with my noren. It was a simple addition, but it made a big difference in how my place looks and feels. If you’re looking for an easy way to spruce up your home, I’d definitely recommend checking them out!
