I saw someone talking about the Tampa Bay Rays mascot online the other day, and I got curious about it, so I did a little digging myself. I decided to mess around and see what all the fuss was about.
First, I went to check out what they already had as a mascot. Turns out, it’s this big blue furry dude named Raymond. He’s got this long snout and always wears a baseball cap. Looks pretty cool, honestly. He’s been around for a while, cheering at games and stuff. I watched some videos of him, and he seems like a fun character, getting the crowd pumped up.
But then I stumbled upon some news about the Rays introducing another mascot named DJ Kitty. This happened during a home game against Cleveland. Now, DJ Kitty is different. I looked up some pictures, and yeah, it’s a cat, but it’s all about the music and DJing, I guess. It seems like they wanted to add some extra entertainment to the games, something more than just Raymond.
So, I thought, why not have both? Raymond could keep doing his usual mascot thing, hyping up the crowd with his energy, while DJ Kitty could bring in the musical vibes, maybe play some tunes during breaks or something. I even tried to imagine how they would interact on the field, maybe some funny skits or dances. It’s all in good fun, right?
My Personal Experience with the Mascots
- First off, I watched a bunch of videos featuring Raymond. I wanted to see what he was all about. He’s really energetic and seems to love interacting with the fans. I saw him dancing, playing around, and just generally being a goofball.
- Then I looked into this DJ Kitty. From what I gathered, DJ Kitty is more about the music and entertainment side of things. I saw some clips of DJ Kitty at the games, and it looks like the fans enjoy the music and the whole DJ vibe.
- I even tried to sketch out some ideas of how Raymond and DJ Kitty could work together. Maybe Raymond could be the hype man, and DJ Kitty could provide the soundtrack. I thought it would be a cool dynamic.
In the end, I realized that mascots are a big part of the sports experience. They bring joy to the fans, especially the kids. Having more than one mascot, like Raymond and DJ Kitty, could make the games even more fun. It’s like having the best of both worlds – you get the classic mascot antics from Raymond and the cool, musical entertainment from DJ Kitty. I’m all for it!
