Okay, let’s talk about French streaming services. You know, I’ve always been a huge fan of French cinema and TV shows. So, naturally, I started looking into ways to watch more of them.
First, I did some digging around to see what my options were. I found out that there are some big names in the French streaming world like Netflix France, Amazon Prime Video, and Canal+. Seemed like a good starting point, right?
Then, I got excited when I discovered France Channel. Apparently, you can watch it on Amazon Prime Video Channels, ROKU Channels, Xfinity, and even on their own mobile app. I immediately downloaded the app on my phone. It was so easy to set up!
But here’s where I hit a little snag. Most of these services are geo-restricted. Meaning, you can’t watch them if you’re not in France. Bummer, I know. But I wasn’t going to let that stop me. I heard about this service called Unlocator. It’s supposed to let you stream content from France even if you’re not there. I followed their setup guide. Honestly, I was surprised how easy it was. After restarting my device, I was in! It felt like I was in France, at least virtually.
I also learned that some traditional TV channels are still super popular in France. Like, TF1 is apparently the top channel, followed by France 2 and France 3. I tried to access their content, too. It was cool to experience what the locals watch on a regular basis. I found Canal+ was another private channel in France. Then, I went to Apple Store to download the app.

- Explored HBO Max for some classic French films. They have a good collection.
- Dived into the world of French documentaries and cultural programs. There’s so much to learn.
I tried out a bunch of stuff, from movies and comedies to documentaries and cultural shows. It’s been a fun ride, exploring all these different platforms and discovering new content. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface, and there’s so much more out there to watch. So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with French streaming services so far.
