Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “hunter eyes” thing all over the internet, and I was like, “What the heck is that?” I gotta admit, I was totally clueless. So, I decided to figure it out, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey!

Digging into “Hunter Eyes”
First, I just started with a simple search. I just typed “what are hunter eyes” and see what pops up. I saw a bunch of stuff, some images, and some discussions. It seemed like it had something to do with the shape and look of people’s eyes.
I saw some people talking about things like a “positive canthal tilt,” and I was totally lost. So I did was look that term up too!.
Then, I started looking at pictures. I found a bunch of examples of people who supposedly had “hunter eyes” and people who didn’t. I spent a good chunk of time just comparing the images, trying to see what the common features were.
- Eye Shape: Seems like “hunter eyes” are usually described as being more almond-shaped and maybe a bit narrow.
- Tilt:I realized that “canthal tilt” just means the angle of the corner of your eye. Positive means the outer corner is higher than the inner *, I looked more closely at the pictures, paying attention to the tilt.
- Hooded?: The thing is that if upper eyelid skin droops over the crease .So I guess”hunter eyes” could be seen as the opposite of “hooded” eyes.
My Conclusion (For Now!)
After all this looking and comparing, I think I kinda get it. “Hunter eyes” seem to be eyes that look sharp, focused, and maybe a little intense. It’s like the eyes of someone who’s really paying attention, like they’re… well, hunting! The angle and shape make them look kind of piercing, I guess.
But honestly, it still feels a little subjective. Like, what one person calls “hunter eyes,” another person might not. And there’s a lot of debate online about it, too. Some people think it’s a real thing, some people think it’s just made up.

I’m still not 100% sure what to think. It was interesting to research, though! I definitely learned some new stuff about eyes and how people perceive them. Maybe I’ll keep an eye out (pun intended!) for more info and update this later.
