Today I wanted to try out this new game, XDefiant, and see what it’s all about. I heard there’s a way to get some free skins, so, of course, I had to check it out.
First off, I jumped into the game and started playing a few rounds. It’s a free-to-play shooter, so I didn’t have to spend any money to get started, which is always a plus. The gameplay itself is pretty fun, kind of reminds me of Call of Duty in a way.
Now, about those free skins. I did some digging and found out that you can unlock them by redeeming codes. I guess Ubisoft, the developer, gives them out from time to time. Also, there is a battle pass thing, with both free and premium rewards.
- Look for Codes: I started searching online for any active codes. I checked out some gaming forums and social media groups. I figured that’s where people would be sharing them.
- Redeem Codes: I went into the game. I found the code redemption section easily enough.
- Battle Pass: I noticed there’s a battle pass in the game. Some free rewards there for just playing.

After spending some time on this, I managed to snag a few skins for my weapons. Nothing too crazy, but hey, free is free, right? It’s kinda cool how they let you customize your character and weapons without forcing you to pay.
But let me tell you, it’s a bit of a grind. This game has a rotating shop, and you can’t see all the skins for a specific weapon at once. So, it’s like, you gotta keep checking back, which is a bit annoying. It’s like they want you to be constantly checking, so you don’t miss out – FOMO, you know?
Honestly, it would be way better if you could just unlock all the skins by playing the game instead of having to hunt down codes or wait for them to show up in the shop. I mean, I just want to play and get stuff, not jump through a million hoops. This way, it is a mess to organize and collect.
Anyway, that’s my experience with trying to get free skins in XDefiant. It’s a decent game, but the whole skin thing could be a lot smoother. Just my two cents. I hope they will add some features to organize them in the future, or I will get bored soon.
