Using Le Monarque: Beginner tips to improve your gameplay now.

Must read

Okay, let’s talk about this bow, Le Monarque. I’ve been messing around with it in Destiny 2, and I gotta say, it’s a pretty interesting weapon. So, I started by just equipping the thing and jumping into some activities.

Using Le Monarque: Beginner tips to improve your gameplay now.

First off, I went into some regular strikes. This bow, it’s a precision frame, so it’s all about hitting those headshots. I practiced landing those critical hits, and man, when you nail them, it feels good. The bow does 151 damage on a crit, so it’s not messing around. I was taking down enemies pretty quickly, especially when I got the rhythm down.

    My usual loadout

  • Kinetic Slot: some fast firing weapon, anything works really.
  • Energy Slot: Le Monarque of course.
  • Heavy Slot: your standard rocket launcher or machine gun.

Then I tried out the exotic perk. See, Le Monarque has this thing where if you perfectly time your shots, it creates a poison cloud. I started experimenting with this in some lost sectors. I’d draw the bow, wait for that perfect moment, and let loose. The poison cloud would spread out, damaging a bunch of enemies at once. It was really effective for dealing with groups. I was clearing out rooms much faster than usual.

I also took it into some PvP. Now, this was a bit trickier. I’m not the best Crucible player, but I wanted to see how Le Monarque did. I started off pretty rough, missing shots, not timing things right. But then, I started to get the hang of it. I would land a perfect shot, then quickly swap to my hand cannon, like Steady Hand, and finish them off with a single shot. It was a pretty slick combo. People didn’t see it coming.

I kept practicing, and I found this other combo that worked well. I had this High Albedo sidearm with Full Auto Fire and High Impact Reserves. I’d hit someone with Le Monarque, then switch to the High Albedo and finish them off with a quick burst. It was surprisingly effective, especially against people with lower resilience.

But there was this one time, I was playing, and I activated my Shadowshot. I fired two volleys of Void Arrows, and they just sought out the nearest targets. These targets, they became volatile, and I dealt a ton of extra damage to them. Plus, when I defeated these tethered targets, they created Orbs. It was awesome for crowd control and generating super energy.

And there’s this other thing I found out. If you’re invisible, which I sometimes am because of a certain build, and you defeat an enemy with a finisher, you get a cool buff. So, I started incorporating that into my gameplay. Sneak around invisible, find a target, finish them off, and then go on a rampage with Le Monarque.

So yeah, that’s my experience with Le Monarque. It’s a fun weapon, takes some practice, but once you get it down, it’s pretty powerful. I’m still experimenting with different combos and strategies, but I’m definitely enjoying it.
