Okay, here’s my personal take on the DF3 putter, written in a casual, blog-style format:

So, I finally caved and got myself a DF3 putter. I’d heard a lot of buzz about it, seen some videos, and, well, my putting has been… let’s just say “inconsistent” lately. I figured, why not give it a shot? It couldn’t hurt, right?
First thing I did was take it out of the box, obviously. I spent like 10 minutes,Just holding it. The weight felt substantial, not too heavy, not too light. I gave it a few practice swings in my living room (carefully, I have to note, avoiding lamps and the cat). It felt pretty balanced.
Heading to the Practice Green
Next, I hit the practice green. That’s where the real test begins. My usual routine is pretty simple: start with short putts, maybe 3-4 feet, just to get a feel for the speed and how the ball comes off the face. Then, I gradually move back, working on 6-footers, 10-footers, and eventually those dreaded long lag putts.
With the DF3, I started the same way. Short putts first. I have to say, the ball came off the face smooth. It wasn’t jumpy or anything. I sank a few in a row and was feeling pretty good.
Moving back to 6 feet, I started noticing something else. The alignment aid, that line on the top, It is really helping me visualize the line. I don’t know if it’s just a placebo effect, but I felt like I was setting up more consistently square to my target.

- Short Putts (3-4 feet): Felt great, very consistent roll.
- Mid-Range (6-10 feet): Alignment aid seemed to help, made a good percentage.
- Long Putts (20+ feet): This is where I usually struggle, but I found the DF3’s weight really helped with distance control. It felt like I could get the ball closer to the hole, even on those really long ones.I did not three-putt!
The Real Course Test
Of course, practice is one thing, but the real test is on the course. So, I took the DF3 out for a full round.
The best moment? Definitely on the 12th hole. I had about a 15-footer, with a slight break to the left. I lined it up, took my stroke, and watched the ball roll right into the center of the cup. It felt… effortless.
Overall, after a few weeks of using the DF3, I’m pretty impressed. My putting definitely feels more consistent, especially with those mid-range putts. I’m still working on getting the speed dialed in perfectly on long putts, but even there, I’ve seen improvement. It’s not a magic wand, you still have to practice and read the greens, but it’s definitely a solid club that’s helped my game.

So am I happy about this putter? I would say:Yes I am!
