Okay, so I’ve been messing around with betting on fights for a while now, and UFC 300 was just too big to ignore. I mean, you got Pereira taking on Hill, that crazy Zhang vs. Yan throwdown, and Gaethje against Holloway – it’s a stacked card! So I thought, why not try my hand at some parlays and see if I can make some extra cash?

First, I spent hours on my phone looking at what other people were saying about the fights. Scrolled through a bunch of forums and watched some videos. I just wanted to get a feel for who everyone thought was going to win. I didn’t want to base all my decisions on just the numbers.
Then, I started looking at the odds. This was all about finding value, you know? Not just picking the favorites, but trying to spot where the bookies might have got it wrong. I spent a good chunk of time comparing odds across different betting sites, trying to squeeze out every last bit of potential profit.
My Parlay Picks:
- Parlay 1: The ‘Safe’ Bet (or so I thought)
- Alex Pereira to win: I figured he was the favorite for a reason. He’s a beast, and I thought he would handle Hill.
- Zhang Weili to win: Another favorite, but she’s just so dominant. I couldn’t see her losing.
- Charles Oliveira to win: This was a bit riskier, but I believed Oliveira’s ground game would be too much for Tsarukyan.
- Parlay 2: Going for the Big Bucks
- Jiri Prochazka to win: Okay, I knew this was a gamble, but Prochazka’s fighting style is just wild! I thought he might just catch Rakic.
- Bo Nickal to win: This guy is a serious wrestler. I was confident he would take his opponent down and control the fight.
- Max Holloway to win: I’m a big Holloway fan. It was maybe wishful thinking, but I wanted to believe he could pull off the upset against Gaethje.
After making the parlays, I spent the whole night watching the fights, jumping up and down on my couch. I was glued to the screen, every punch and kick felt like it was directed at me.
Man, what a night! Some of my bets hit, some missed. I made some money in my first parlay. Pereira, Zhang, and Oliveira are all killers, I knew they would deliver. But my second parlay was a total bust! Prochazka and Nickal were great, but Holloway losing to Gaethje killed it. Just goes to show, anything can happen in the octagon.
At the end of the day, I had a blast, made a little money, and learned a bit more about how this whole parlay thing works. It’s definitely a rollercoaster, but that’s what makes it so exciting! I will definitely be back for more, maybe I will get luckier next time.
