Alright, so the other day I decided to check out this “Turbo Indy 500” thing. I’d heard some buzz about it, and, well, I’m a sucker for anything with “turbo” in the name. So, I fired it up, ready for some high-octane action.

First off, I had to pick my car. Seemed like there were a bunch of high-performance options, all looking pretty slick. I went with a red one—classic choice, you know? After that I think it might need to unlock, upgrade, and customize cars! But I did not try.
Then came the tracks. There was talk about them being in 3D and getting harder as you go. I braced myself for some serious challenges. The controls felt pretty responsive, which is good because nobody wants to be wrestling with their car while trying to win a race. There are different levels to complete various tasks over 3 different maps. I saw that maps 1, 6, and 7 are your rich maps. They all give you full power. And 6 and 7 are simply alternate throttle maps, mostly used for road racing, but they won’t harm you on ovals.
The racing itself? Man, it was intense. I found myself trying to overtake opponents, dodge obstacles, and, you know, not crash. I heard a rumor that one guy, Gagn, swerved into a marble path on lap 200 and slid into two other cars. Sounds wild. I guess when you’re going that fast, things can get a little hairy. One time, I even tried to resume the race by dragging my wrecked car. I also wanted to kill other cars by stepping on them, but it failed.
- Pick a car: Lots of cool, fast-looking cars. I chose a red one.
- Hit the track: 3D tracks that get harder and harder.
- Race like crazy: Overtake, avoid crashes, and try to win!
I also learned that this Indy 500 thing is a pretty big deal. It’s like the main event for IndyCar. And the money involved? Don’t even get me started. I read that the average payout for drivers in the NTT IndyCar Series was $543,000! And the winner of the Indy 500 gets millions. The 2023 winner got $3.666 million, and the 2022 winner earned $3.1 million. That’s some serious dough. I guess that explains why everyone’s so desperate to win.
My Racing Strategy
Honestly, I didn’t really have one. I just tried to go fast and not mess up too badly. There’s apparently no perfect strategy for this race, but there are ways to improve your chances. I heard about a guy named Larson who’s a favorite this year. I guess he’s pretty good.

All in all, it was a pretty wild ride. Would I do it again? Maybe. If you’re into fast cars and intense competition, you might want to give this “Turbo Indy 500” a shot. Just be prepared for some serious adrenaline!
