Alright, so I was kicking around Vegas, you know how it is. The vibe gets to you. Decided I needed something permanent to remember the trip, but nothing huge or crazy. Just something small, like a little nod to the place.
Didn’t do a ton of research beforehand, honestly. I’m not really the type to spend hours looking up reviews for something like this. I figured, it’s Vegas, gotta be tattoo shops everywhere, right? So I just started walking around, kinda keeping an eye out. Passed a few flashy places on the Strip, looked expensive. Then I ducked into one of the older casinos, just wandering, and saw this smaller, kinda old-school looking tattoo joint tucked away near a bar.
Seemed less intimidating, so I went in. Place was clean, smelled like antiseptic, which is always a good sign. Guy behind the counter looked like he’d been doing this forever. I told him straight up, “Looking for something small, Vegas-related, quick and easy.”
He didn’t try to upsell me or anything, just pointed to some flash designs on the wall. Lots of dice, cards, showgirls – the usual stuff. Wasn’t really feeling those. Then I spotted this really simple, almost minimalist design of the famous Vegas sign outline. Yeah, that felt right. Not too obvious, but definitely Vegas.
Getting it Done
Pointed it out, asked where a good spot for something small would be. We settled on the inner wrist. Quick stencil, quick buzz of the machine. Yeah, it stung a bit, not gonna lie, especially right on the wrist bone. But it was small, so it was over super fast. Maybe 15-20 minutes total? The artist was efficient, focused on his work. Didn’t make a lot of small talk, which was fine by me.

He wiped it down, showed me in the mirror. Looked sharp. Exactly what I pictured. Simple, clean lines. He slapped on some ointment and a bandage, gave me the standard spiel about keeping it clean, washing it, using lotion after a few days. Pretty basic stuff.
Paid the man – wasn’t too pricey either, which was a bonus – and walked out back into the casino noise. Felt kinda cool, having this fresh little secret inked on me.
So yeah, that was my small Vegas tattoo adventure. No big drama, just walked in, picked something simple, got it done. A permanent little reminder of that trip. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
