Alright, so, let me tell you about this crazy time I spent messing around at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, specifically the ROVAL. If you don’t know what that is, it’s like, part race track, part road course, all mixed into one.

First off, I got there and it was pretty wild. I started driving this thing, and man, the whole track got longer recently. Used to be 2.28 miles, now it’s 2.32. Not a huge change, but you can feel it, you know?
They changed up the turns, too. Turn 1 is wider now, which I guess is cool. The big stuff happened in Turns 6 and 7. I heard they made some major changes there, and that made the whole track different, they’ve been upgrading it.
- First thing I did was just drive around, get a feel for the new layout.
- Then I started to push it a little, see what this course is really about.
- Next up, I tried to hit those new turns just right, you know, find the perfect line.
They have this huge TV there, Speedway TV. I didn’t watch it much while driving, obviously, but it’s pretty cool they upgraded that too. 23,000 something – it must be a big improvement, I guess. It’s great that they keep the fans interested.
So, I kept driving, trying to figure out the best way around those 17 turns. Yeah, 17. It’s a lot to remember. Honestly, I got a little lost a couple of times, but that’s part of the fun, right?
Getting the Hang of It
After a few laps, I started to get the hang of it. Figuring out when to brake, when to accelerate, all that stuff. It’s like, you really have to think about what you’re doing, every second.

I kept at it, and honestly, I think I got pretty good. Not to brag, but I was really cruising. It felt amazing, just flying around that track, especially through those new turns. They did a good job, I gotta say.
By the end, I was exhausted. But it was a good kind of exhausted, you know? Like, I really accomplished something. I conquered the ROVAL, or at least, that’s how it felt. And I saw they were doing some renovations. There was a lot of work going on, I guess for the fans. It looked pretty awesome.
So yeah, that was my day at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL. Pretty awesome, pretty intense, and definitely something I won’t forget. If you ever get the chance, you should totally check it out. Just remember, 17 turns – it’s a wild ride!
