Okay, so I jumped into the new season, heard about these weapon mod benches, and figured I gotta find ’em. You know how it is, gotta get those attachments sorted for the best loadout. Took me a little while to actually get a handle on where these things consistently pop up, wasn’t as obvious as I first thought.

First few matches, honestly, I was just running around kinda clueless. I’d check the usual spots where you might find upgrade benches or vending machines in past seasons, thinking maybe they just reused the locations. Nope. Found myself clearing out whole buildings, big points of interest, thinking “it’s gotta be here somewhere,” but mostly coming up empty on the mod bench front. Wasted a fair bit of time doing that, getting caught out while searching high and low.
My Search Process
Then I started thinking, maybe they’re tied to something specific this season? I remembered seeing those Society Medallions dropping from the bosses, the ones that let you into the vaults. Lightbulb moment! I decided to focus my efforts on places that had those vaults. Figured if there’s high security loot, maybe there’s a fancy mod bench too.
So, next few drops, I specifically targeted the named locations known to have bosses and vaults. Places like Lavish Lair, Ritzy Riviera, that kind of thing. Fought my way to the boss, grabbed the medallion, and made a beeline for the vault entrance. Sometimes it was a bit hairy getting there with the medallion marking me on the map, but I was determined.
Bingo! Once I started cracking open those vaults, I found them. It seems like these mod benches are primarily stashed away inside these secured locations. Makes sense, right? High-tier loot, high-tier weapon customization. They weren’t just sitting out in the open in some random shed.
Here’s where I consistently found them during my runs:

- Inside the big vaults you need a Society Medallion to open. Pretty much every named location with a boss had one in the vault.
- Sometimes, not always, but sometimes I spotted one on the big floating Loot Island that appears mid-game. Had to fight for that one though.
- Underground bunkers or weapon caches scattered around the map occasionally had one too, but the vaults felt like the most reliable bet by far.
So yeah, that was my process. Bit of trial and error, getting blasted a few times while searching aimlessly, then finally figuring out the pattern with the vaults. If you’re looking for a mod bench, your best bet is definitely to grab a medallion and hit the nearest vault. That’s where I’ve had the most luck, anyway. Happy modding!
