I finally got my hands on this Sena 20S EVO, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride. This thing looked pretty slick with its shark-fin antenna, which I later found out is an upgrade from the older 20S model that had a flip-up antenna. Setting It Up
I started by charging the main unit. It took a little bit, but hey, gotta get that juice flowing, right? Then I installed the speakers and the boom mic in my helmet. The speakers, which Sena calls “HD speakers,” fit pretty comfortably in the helmet’s speaker pockets. They’re designed with a beveled taper, which is a fancy way of saying they’re shaped to fit nicely. Once I got everything in place, I paired the 20S EVO with my phone. It was super simple, just followed the instructions, and boom, connected.
Testing It Out
- First thing I noticed was the sound quality. I mean, I cranked up the volume, and these HD speakers really delivered. The music was loud and clear, and even the bass was pretty good. I’m not an audiophile or anything, but it definitely sounded better than I expected.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the Sena 20S EVO. It’s easy to use, the sound quality is great, and the intercom works as advertised. It’s made my rides a lot more enjoyable, being able to listen to music, take calls, and chat with my buddies without any hassle. I gotta say the HD speakers really make a huge difference in terms of volume, and the clarity is pretty amazing. The Advanced Noise Control thing is pretty good at cancelling out any wind noise, as it made talking on the phone so much easier.
