This Seb Priaulx, he’s a real hotshot on the race track, ain’t he? I heard folks talkin’ ’bout him down at the general store the other day. They say he’s quicker than a greased piglet at a county fair.
This boy, Seb, he drives them fancy cars, the kind that go faster than a chicken with its head cut off. They call it IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Just like those rich folks, always comin’ up with these long names for things.

He’s in the GT3, whatever that means. Probably just another one of them fancy car things. I seen pictures, though. Them cars is shiny! Like a new penny on a Sunday mornin’. And Seb, he’s sittin’ right in there, lookin’ like he knows what he’s doin’.
He drives for a team called AO Racing. Don’t know much about them, but I reckon they must be alright if they got Seb drivin’ for ’em. He’s a British boy, they say. Comes from across the big pond, where they all talk funny. But he sure can drive! Faster than a rabbit runnin’ from a fox, that one.
- He was born in 2001, makes him younger than my youngest grandson, but he’s out there racin’ with the big dogs!
- They say he’s a Porsche specialist. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds important. Must be one of them fancy car brands.
- He won somethin’ called the Daytona 24 Hours. That’s a long time to be drivin’! I get tired just drivin’ to the market and back.
Heard he won somethin’ at a place called WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Don’t know where that is, but it sounds like a place where they’d have them races. He was victorious they said. Means he won! Good for him. Beats pickin’ beans all day, that’s for sure.

They say this Seb, he’s got partners, too. Big companies, I reckon, givin’ him money to drive them fast cars. Smart boy. Better than workin’ in the fields, that’s for darn sure. He’s got Multimatic Motorsport, whatever that is. Probably some big-shot company with a fancy name. Good for him. He’s makin’ somethin’ of himself.
He got 2nd place in the Petit Le Mans too. That’s what folks were talkin’ about down at the feed store. Said he was racin’ in the GTD class. Sounds important. He’s movin’ up in the world, that Seb. Faster than a scalded dog, that’s what they say.

Next year, in 2024, he’s gonna be racin’ in somethin’ called GTD Pro. They say he’s gonna be a real contender. Means he’s gonna try to win the whole darn thing! Good for him. I hope he does. He’s a good boy, that Seb. Works hard, drives fast.

- He drives a car with a funny paint job. They call it “distinctively-liveried”. I just call it colorful.

I reckon this Seb Priaulx is gonna be a big name in racin’. He’s already done won a bunch of races, and he’s still young. He’s got a bright future ahead of him, that’s for sure. Just like my old mule, Bessie. She was a good mule, always did what she was told, worked hard. This Seb, he’s like that, but with cars instead of plows.
So, you keep an eye out for that name, Seb Priaulx. He’s gonna be famous one of these days, just you wait and see. He’s faster than a greased piglet, that one. And he ain’t afraid of nothin’. Just like a good farm dog, always ready to work, always ready to run. Yep, that Seb, he’s a good one.

If I can figure out how to work that darn thing. These newfangled contraptions are gettin’ too complicated for an old woman like me. But that Seb, he seems to understand ’em just fine. Good for him.
