So, naturally, the first thing I did was take it out for a spin. And let me tell you, this thing is fast. I mean, really fast. I twisted the throttle and felt that awesome power. It’s got that classic Suzuki engine growl that just makes you grin like an idiot. I felt like I was glued to the road, even when leaning into those sharp turns.

Comfort and Ride
Now, this isn’t a touring bike, but it’s surprisingly comfortable for what it is. The riding position is more upright than the older GSX-S1000F, which is a huge plus for longer rides. I could actually ride for a couple of hours without my back screaming at me. And the 5-gallon tank? That gave me some real decent range. I could actually go somewhere without constantly worrying about finding the next gas station. All it took was just simply putting the footrests in the right place.
Overall Thoughts
Honestly, after putting some serious miles on this thing, I can see why people love Suzuki bikes. They’re built like tanks. As long as you take care of them, they’ll just keep going and going. I’m planning on keeping this GSX-S1000 for a long, long time, and seeing if I can hit that 100,000-mile mark. That seems possible to me. I just have to keep maintaining it well.
It’s a solid machine, and if you’re looking for something that’s fast, fun, and won’t break the bank, the GSX-S1000 is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to turn some heads, because this thing is a looker, for sure.
