Roadhouse Movie Images: Where to See All the Action!

Must read

Okay, so the other day, I was trying to dig up some cool images from the “Road House” movie. You know, the one with Patrick Swayze. Man, that movie is a classic! Anyway, I wanted some good pics, maybe for a wallpaper or just to reminisce about how awesome Swayze was as a bouncer.

First, I went straight to the search engine and typed in “Road House movie images”.

Tons of stuff popped up, but it was a mess. Some were from that old flick with Patrick Swayze, the 1989 one. Then, other images were from this new “Road House” movie with Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor. Don’t get me wrong, Gyllenhaal is a great actor and I am excited about the new version, but I was in the mood for the original.

So, I refined my search to “Road House 1989 movie images”. Better. This time, I got more of what I wanted. Pictures of Swayze kicking butt, looking all cool and tough.

I clicked through a few image galleries. There was one site, I can not recall the name, that had a bunch of publicity stills. Seriously, like over a hundred! Most were of Swayze, but there were also some good ones of Kelly Lynch and Sam Elliott. They all looked so young!

  • I found a really cool one of Swayze standing in front of the Double Deuce, the bar in the movie. That one’s definitely going on my desktop.
  • There was another one of him and Kelly Lynch, looking all romantic and stuff. Classic ’80s vibe.
  • And, of course, there were tons of action shots. Swayze fighting, doing those roundhouse kicks. The man was a legend.

I also stumbled upon some movie posters. I think I saw like, 24 different ones? It’s crazy how many different posters they make for one movie. Some had Swayze’s face all big and bold. Others were more artsy, with silhouettes and whatnot.

What I learned

This little adventure taught me a few things. One, the internet is a vast ocean of images, and you gotta be specific with your searches. Two, “Road House” (1989) is still super popular. And three, Patrick Swayze was, and still is, the coolest.

I ended up saving a bunch of pictures. Now, I have enough “Road House” images to rotate my wallpaper for months! And every time I see them, I’ll remember the fun I had digging them up and, of course, the awesomeness of the movie itself.
