Oh, honey, you wanna know about the Rays depth chart 2024? Well, I heard somethin’ ’bout that. Baseball, right? My grandson, he’s crazy for that baseball stuff. Always hollerin’ at the TV. This here’s what I reckon I know ’bout it.
Tampa Bay Rays 2024
They got a whole mess of fellas playin’ for the Tampa Bay Rays this year. A whole bunch. Some are new, some been ’round for a spell. Says here on this paper thing that it’s the Rays depth chart 2024. They put players in all different places, like the pitcher, the catcher, and the fielders. So many of them. The paper says it is the MLB. Is that a big deal? There are so many players, I don’t know how they keep them all straight.
I think that they change the players sometimes. The paper says “updated daily”. That is a lot of work, keeping track of all them fellas. I heard they get hurt sometimes, too. Playin’ that rough game, runnin’ and jumpin’. Then they gotta sit out, I guess. The injured ones go to something called the “injury list”. That don’t sound fun.
Who Plays Where?
They got what they call “starters” and then they got “backups.” Like when you got yer good Sunday shoes and yer everyday shoes. The starters play more, I suppose. It says “current starters and backup players”. Then they got some other fellas, they call ’em “non-roster invitees.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Maybe they’re hopin’ to get on the team proper. I heard there are 40 people on the team. The paper says “40-man roster”. 40 men is a lot. How do they even fit in one room?
- Pitchers – these fellas throw the ball.
- Catchers – these fellas catch the ball that the pitcher throws.
- Infielders – these fellas stand in the dirt part.
- Outfielders – these fellas stand way out in the grass.
Seems like a lot of runnin’ around to me. And swingin’ that big ol’ stick. I seen ’em on the TV, swingin’ and missin’. Sometimes they hit it real good, though. Makes everyone holler and jump up and down. They must be good to play for the Tampa Bay Rays. It is a big deal, people care about it, I think. They even have it on TV.
Changes and Such
So, this Rays depth chart 2024, it changes, they say. Every day, somethin’ new. Someone gets hurt, someone new comes in. They even change who is playing each day, something about a “starting lineup”. Like pickin’ which chicken you gonna eat for supper, I guess. They are always changing, it is hard to keep up. They got all these fancy names for things. “Transactions”, “roster moves”. Sounds like a whole lot of paperwork to me.
They been playin’ baseball for a long time, I reckon. This paper says something about 1998. That was a while ago. I was younger then. They called ’em the Devil Rays back then, I think. Now it’s just Rays. Easier to say, I guess. Less to remember. They have been playing for many years. They must be good at it. This paper says “Major League Baseball”. My grandson says that is the best baseball. The Rays depth chart 2024 must be important then.
