Radagon and Elden Beast weakness? (Your easy win guide)

Must read

Alright, let me tell you about my journey with these two. It was a real grind, let me tell you. I must have thrown myself at Radagon and the Elden Beast, oh, dozens of times. At first, I was just going in, you know, swinging my usual sword, doing my usual thing. And I got stomped. Repeatedly.

Getting Started: The Wall

I remember thinking, “Okay, this isn’t working.” Radagon, especially, just felt like he was shrugging off most of what I was throwing at him. I tried different ashes of war, different incantations I thought might be good. Nope. He’d just combo me into oblivion. It was frustrating, to say the least. I’d get him down a bit, then he’d pull off some crazy move and bam, back to the Site of Grace I went.

The Radagon Riddle: My First Breakthroughs

So, I started to really pay attention. Practice, right? I put away my fanciest spells for a bit and just focused on his moves. What was he actually doing? When were the openings? I noticed he’s pretty quick, but some of his bigger attacks left him open for a moment. That was my first clue.

Then I started experimenting with damage types. I’d heard whispers, you know, things people say. I tried a few different weapons. My holy damage stuff? Seemed like I was just tickling him. Then I switched to a weapon that did more pure physical damage, specifically something with a good bit of strike damage. And what do you know? The numbers started looking a bit better. Not amazing, but better. I also had a go with some fire attacks. My Blasphemous Blade, for instance. That seemed to chip away at him decently too! It wasn’t a magic bullet, but it felt like I was finally speaking his language.

  • Observation 1: Holy damage felt pretty weak against him.
  • Observation 2: Physical, especially strike, seemed more effective.
  • Observation 3: Fire also seemed to do okay.

So, I geared up with a good heavy weapon, focused on learning his parry timings (which took ages, but so satisfying when it clicks!), and started using fire grease when I had an opening. Slowly but surely, I started getting Radagon down more consistently.

Then Comes the Elden Beast: A Whole New Ballgame

And then, just when I thought I had it figured out, boom, Elden Beast. This thing… it’s just different. It’s massive, swims around, shoots a million projectiles. My Radagon strategy didn’t quite translate. It’s so big that just hitting it consistently felt like a challenge, especially when it decided to go for a swim across the arena.

My fire approach that worked okay on Radagon? The Elden Beast just seemed to laugh it off. And holy damage? Forget about it. It felt like I was actively healing it sometimes (not really, but you know what I mean).

I went back to basics again. Watched its movements. That Elden Stars attack? Pure pain. I learned I just had to run. No shame in it. For damage, I realized its belly, that glowing spot, seemed to take more punishment. Getting there was the trick.

I found that non-elemental physical damage was my most reliable bet here. I stuck with a weapon that had good reach and focused on pure physical output. Some folks talk about certain status effects, but for me, it was just about consistent physical damage to that weak spot when I could get in close. Pest Threads, an incantation I picked up, actually did surprisingly well because of how it hits multiple times on large targets. That was a bit of a game-changer for me with the Beast.

  • Observation 4: Elden Beast is super resistant to Holy.
  • Observation 5: Its glowing belly area seems to be a better target.
  • Observation 6: Pure physical damage felt most consistent. Pest Threads were surprisingly effective due to its size.

Putting It All Together

So, the final successful run involved a lot of patience. For Radagon, it was about dodging his combos, getting in those heavy hits with a strike weapon, sometimes buffed with fire, and looking for parries. Then for Elden Beast, it was a dance. Lots of running from its ranged attacks, then closing the distance to smack its glowing core with as much physical damage as I could muster. Using Pest Threads when it was doing its big area attacks helped chip away its health too.

It wasn’t easy, and it took a lot of tries, a lot of “practice.” But finally seeing that “ENEMY FELLED” message was one of the best feelings. So yeah, that was my experience figuring out their weak points. Mostly through trial, error, and a whole lot of dying!
