Honestly I just heard about Queens Championships last week from my friend Dave. He was bragging about some medals he got there and I thought why not try? So here’s how I actually did it without losing my mind.

First Step: Finding Where to Sign Up
Went straight to Google like anyone else. Typed “Queens Championships join” and got a ton of confusing links. Took me three tries to find the official page – looked kinda old school honestly. No shiny buttons just basic text.
Checking If I Could Join
Scrolled down that page squinting at the rules. Had to check:
- If my baking stuff met their equipment rules (Nope – turns out my mixer is illegal)
- If home bakers can enter (Thank god yes)
- Deadline dates (Missed one category by 2 days)
Almost gave up right here.
The Actual Form Nightmare
Clicking “Register” opened this huge form. Took me like 30 minutes with phone in one hand checking my notes:
- Had to type my weird legal name exactly like my ID
- Address section crashed twice when I put apartment number
- Payment page showed prices in USD not CAD – almost overpaid!
Seriously I got up for coffee three times during this.

Paying Without Crying
Finally got to payment section. The security checks were intense:
- Made me upload ID photo twice (first one was “too dark”)
- Card declined first time because I forgot security code
- Payment confirmation took 15 minutes to email me
Legit thought my laptop was broken when that spinning circle wouldn’t stop.
What Finally Worked
After all that torture:
- Used Chrome on desktop (mobile was worse)
- Pasted answers from notepad to avoid typos
- Paid early morning when site wasn’t busy
Got this ugly PDF ticket immediately after paying. Printed three copies just in case.
Whole thing took me nearly two hours. Why do they make this so complicated? Anyway now I just need to actually bake something…
