Alright, folks, gather ’round, let me tell you about my little adventure with the Phillies 50/50 raffle. So, I was at this game, right? And I was feeling lucky. I mean, who doesn’t love a good raffle? It’s like a lottery, but you’re at a baseball game, so it’s way more fun. Anyway, I decided to go for it and buy some tickets.

First thing I did was head over to one of those kiosks they have set up around the ballpark. It was pretty easy to find, just had to follow the crowd of other hopefuls. They had these people there, all friendly and helpful, explaining how it all works. Basically, you buy these raffle tickets, and half of the money goes to the winner, and the other half goes to the Phillies Charities. I thought, “Hey, even if I don’t win, at least it’s going to a good cause.”
I bought a bunch of tickets, and I made sure to fill them all out. You know, just in case I lost one. And it’s important that you enter all your information right, so if you win, they can get a hold of you. Then, I just had to wait. I kept an eye on the scoreboard throughout the game, waiting for the winning number to be posted. And let me tell you, the anticipation was killer! I was checking the scoreboard more than I was watching the game!
It got to the 8th inning, and that’s when they announced the winning number. It was up there on the main scoreboard, big and bold. And guess what? I didn’t win. I was a little bummed, of course, but you know what? It’s all good. It’s a raffle, it’s all chance, and the money is going to a good cause.
The whole process was pretty simple:
- Find a kiosk.
- Buy some raffle tickets.
- Fill them out with all my details.
- Wait for the 8th inning.
- Check the scoreboard for the winning number.
They also posted the number on those side boards, and they said it would be on a website for the next 30 days or so. Which is good to know, I guess, in case you miss it at the game. I didn’t win this time, but I might try again next time. It’s all part of the fun, right?
Oh, and one more thing. I saw some people with umbrellas, and I was like, “Oh yeah, you can bring those in.” Just remember to be considerate of the people around you. You know, don’t be that guy blocking everyone’s view.

So yeah, that’s my Phillies 50/50 story. It was a fun little thing to do at the game, and even though I didn’t win, it felt good to contribute to the Phillies Charities. Who knows, maybe next time I’ll get lucky! You never know, right?
