Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this 2012 GSX-R750 for a while now, and I figured I’d share my experiences. This bike, man, it’s something else. When I first got it, I was pumped. It’s not as intimidating as some of those heavier bikes, you know?
Fuel and Mileage
One thing I was curious about was the fuel efficiency. I mean, who isn’t, right? So I started tracking it. I filled her up, rode around, filled her up again, did some more riding. After a bunch of these, I did some quick math. Turns out, I was getting around 44-45 miles per gallon. Not bad, not bad at all.
Riding Experience
- Handling: Seriously, it’s like the bike is an extension of yourself.
- Weight: It’s light, which I liked. Made it easier to manage, especially in the city.
- Looks: It’s got that sporty look. I got a few nods from other riders. Feels good, man.
I took it to the track a couple of times too, just to see what it could really do. Man, that was fun. It’s fast, responsive, and just a blast to ride. I even thought about racing it, you know, in the 750 class or maybe even the 1000 class. It’s versatile like that.
Now, I know some folks say it’s a good beginner bike. And yeah, I can see that. It’s not too crazy, but it’s still got enough power to keep things interesting. A friend of a friend is actually selling their 2017 model. Only 2000 miles on it, they said it is like brand new. It is tempting.
I remember reading somewhere that someone hit 155 mph on one of these. Now, I’m not that crazy. But it’s cool to know the bike has that kind of power.
All in all, the 2012 GSX-R750 has been a solid ride. It’s fun, it’s reliable, and it’s got that cool factor. If you’re thinking about getting one, I’d say go for it. Just remember to ride safe, and always wear your gear.
