Mass Fighting How to Win? The Best Tips for Beginners!

Must read

Okay, so, I had this idea to put together a big “mass fighting” thing, you know, like a full-on war scene. But, man, it was a mess at first. I’m not a game designer or anything, just a guy who likes to mess around with this stuff.

I started by just throwing a bunch of fighters together. Think of it like a mosh pit, but with swords and spells. Total chaos. Figuring out who was hitting who, and how much damage they were doing, it was a nightmare. I tried to keep track of everything on paper, but it was like trying to count grains of sand on a beach while getting punched in the face.

Then, I remembered some official events I went to and some videos I watched years ago about fighting. There were many fighters, but they were fighting one by one, not all at once! It’s like a common sense thing, but, you know, sometimes you miss the obvious stuff when you’re too focused on making something big and flashy.

  • Objects in motion, just like what I learned in high school. I need to make each part move on its own.

So, I decided to break it down. I divided the fighters into smaller groups, like squads. Each squad would move and fight as a unit. It was still a lot to keep track of, but way more manageable than the free-for-all I had before. I could actually see what was happening and make adjustments. It’s like going from a blurry mess to something resembling a real battle.

Now, I’m just testing it, getting feedback, and trying to make this thing work. I just want a good way to do it, without having to write a whole rulebook. It’s been a rough ride, but hey, at least I’m learning something, right? Now I’m still trying to make it fun and balanced, and not just a random dice-rolling simulator. I might watch those videos a few more times and go to events to get more ideas.

Man, sometimes the simplest ideas are the best ones. And sometimes you just gotta throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and see what sticks. Keep it simple, and don’t be afraid to start over if you need to. Also, never forget what you have learned from school.
