Marvel Rivals Datamined Models: Early Look at Game Characters & Outfits.

Must read

Okay, so I saw this buzz about “Marvel Rivals” and some datamined models floating around. I’m always up for a little digital treasure hunt, so I decided to dive in and see what I could find. And most import, I can get my hands on it or not!

First things first, I needed to track down where these datamined goodies were hiding. This took a bit of digging. I scoured some gaming forums, a few Discord servers dedicated to Marvel stuff, and even poked around on some, uh, less mainstream corners of the internet. Gotta be thorough, right?

Eventually, I stumbled upon a few promising leads. A couple of posts mentioned specific file-sharing sites and some cryptic instructions. It felt like I was following a digital breadcrumb trail, which, honestly, is half the fun.

The Download Process

Downloading the files was the next hurdle. Let me tell you, some of these sites were…sketchy. I made sure my antivirus was up-to-date and running, just in case. You never know what kind of digital nasties might be lurking around.

After a few false starts and some questionable pop-up ads (thank goodness for ad blockers!), I finally managed to get my hands on a compressed file that supposedly contained the datamined models. Fingers crossed!

Unpacking the Goods

I extracted the file, and…bam! A whole bunch of folders and files appeared. It was a bit overwhelming at first. I saw file names with character names I recognized, like Spider-Man, Hulk, and Iron Man – my inner fanboy started to get excited.

Now, I’m no expert 3D modeler, but I do have some basic knowledge of file formats. Most of the models seemed to be in formats that I could open with some free 3D viewing software I had lying around on my computer.

The First Look

I loaded up a few of the models, and…wow. Even in their untextured, datamined state, they looked pretty cool. I could see the details in their costumes, their stances, even some hints of their facial expressions. It’s always fascinating to see these things before they’re all polished up and ready for the game.

I spent a good chunk of time just rotating the models, zooming in and out, and generally geeking out over the details. It’s like getting a sneak peek behind the scenes of a movie or a comic book. I’m not great at doing detail, I will share some of my experience with my friend next time. And maybe next step I can get these print out!

Conclusion (For Now)

So, that’s my little datamining adventure so far. It was a fun little project, and it definitely got me even more hyped for “Marvel Rivals.” I’m no expert, but it’s always cool to see what you can uncover with a little bit of digging. Just remember to be careful out there – the internet can be a wild place!
