Okay, so, today I finally decided to tackle that “Lost” finale – “The Final Journey,” they called it. I’d been putting it off, you know, like a dentist appointment you just don’t want to deal with. But, it was time.
First, I re-watched the last few episodes of season six. Just to jog my memory, because, honestly, it’s been a while. Remembered how much I loved some characters, hated others… you know the drill.
Getting Started
Then, I fired up my trusty old streaming service. Finding the episode was easy enough – all the seasons are right there, lined up like soldiers.
The opening scene hit me. All those familiar faces, the island… It felt like coming home, in a weird, twisted way.I really into it, so I made the subtitles bigger.
The Thick Of It
- I paused a bunch of times. Had to grab snacks (popcorn, obviously), refill my drink, and just generally process what was going on. Because, let’s be real, “Lost” can be a lot.
- There were definitely moments where I yelled at the screen. Like, “Don’t do that! Are you crazy?!” Good thing I live alone.
- And yeah, I cried. A few times. Don’t judge me. Some of those character arcs, man… they get you right in the feels.
- I even took my phone to record some wonderful monment.
The End?
When the credits rolled… I just sat there. For a good ten minutes. Staring at the ceiling, trying to make sense of it all. Did I like the ending? Hate it? Honestly, I’m still not sure.
I even quickly searched some explaination video to learn those hidden details.
It’s definitely an ending that stays with you. It’s not neat and tidy, and it doesn’t answer every single question. But maybe that’s the point? Maybe it’s about the journey, not the destination… or something like that. Anyway, I’m glad I finally watched it. Now I can move on with my life. Probably.
