Looking for the final scores? (Here are the detailed pga championship 2014 results from Valhalla Golf Club)

Must read

So, I got curious today and decided to dig back into the results from the 2014 PGA Championship. It feels like ages ago, but I remember it being a pretty exciting finish, so I wanted to refresh my memory.

First thing I did was just hop onto my computer. Opened up a search engine – you know the usual routine. I typed in something simple like “PGA Championship 2014 final results” or “who won 2014 PGA Championship”. Didn’t need anything too fancy.

It took just a second to get a bunch of pages back. I skipped past the news headlines from back then and looked for something that looked like a proper leaderboard or a final scores list. Found a sports site that seemed to have the full rundown.

Looking Through the Scores

Once I clicked through, I started scrolling down the page. It all came back to me pretty quickly when I saw the top name: Rory McIlroy. Yeah, he clinched it. That was right in the middle of a great run for him.

What I really remembered, and saw reflected in the scores, was how tight it was at the end. It wasn’t a runaway win. I looked at the guys right behind him:

  • Phil Mickelson finished second, just one shot back. Classic Phil, always in the mix.
  • Rickie Fowler and Henrik Stenson were tied for third, only two shots behind Rory.

Seeing those names packed so tightly at the top reminded me of the drama, especially with the darkness closing in at Valhalla Golf Club. That was the course, Valhalla. Good track.

I kept scrolling down the list, just out of interest. Saw a lot of familiar names, some guys who were big back then but maybe aren’t playing as much now. Noticed where guys like Adam Scott, Jim Furyk, and Bubba Watson ended up. It’s always interesting to see the full field results, not just the winners.

Spent maybe 10 minutes just looking through everything, remembering little bits about the tournament. It’s funny how looking at a simple scoreboard can bring back those memories.

Anyway, that was my little trip down memory lane for the day. Just wanted to check those 2014 results and ended up recalling quite a bit about that particular championship. Definitely a memorable one.
