Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out the time difference between London and Italy:

So, I was planning a virtual meet-up with some friends in Italy, and I’m here in London. The big question was, what time should we do it so it’s good for everyone? I always get mixed up with time zones, so I had to do a little digging.
Getting Started: The Basic Check
First, I just did a quick search. It’s the easiest step. My fingers did the walking.
Digging a Bit Deeper: The Findings
The search result that popped up instantly told me that Italy is usually 1 hour ahead of London. Okay, simple enough, right? But I wanted to be extra sure, especially with daylight saving time. I confirmed that both countries switch to DST at almost the same time.
Confirm the Time Difference
I finded a simple website that showed a clear clock of London and Italy.

Putting It into Practice: Scheduling the Meet-Up
Since Italy is 1 hour ahead, if I wanted to have the meeting at 7 PM Italian time, I needed to schedule it for 6 PM London time. I double-checked to make sure I had it right: 7 PM in Italy – 1 hour = 6 PM in London. Yep, that’s it!
Daylight Saving Time
I decided check if the countries had the same DST schedule.
- search “daylight saving time in London and Italy”
- Read that countries begin and finish DST.
- See if any exceptions to the rule.
I’m glad I did this little exercise. Now I feel way more confident about scheduling things across time zones. It’s always good to do your homework, isn’t it?
