Okay, so yesterday I decided to check out Tigard Woods. I’d heard it was a nice little spot for a quick nature fix, and I was definitely feeling the need to get away from the screen for a bit.

Getting Started
First, I looked it up on my phone. Nothing fancy, the place has got some reviews, it seemed straightforward enough. I grabbed my water bottle and keys, and hopped in the car.
The Drive
The drive there was pretty chill. It’s not far from the main part of Tigard, so it only took me, like, 15 minutes, tops. I found the entrance without much problem, and then to find a parking spot.
Hitting the Trail
- The parking lot itself looked fine.
- I saw some families were having their time there.
- Saw some signs with a map and some basic rules.
I started walking, and right away, it was just… peaceful. Lots of tall trees, you know, the typical Oregon forest vibe. The main path is paved, so it’s easy to walk or bike on. I saw a few people with strollers, too. Definitely a family-friendly spot.
Exploring a Bit
I wandered around for about an hour. There are some smaller dirt trails that branch off the main one, so I took a couple of those just to see what was up. Nothing too crazy, just more trees and some little streams. It felt good to be surrounded by all that green.
One of the trails took me up a little slope. The views were a little obscured by the trees. I imagined it looked much better in the fall with all the colored leaves.

Wrapping Up
After a while, I headed back to the parking lot. I felt way more relaxed than when I arrived. It’s not a huge park, but it’s perfect for a quick escape. Tigard Woods. I might go check it out again sometime.
