Alright, let’s talk about Josh Magennis for a bit. It wasn’t like one big moment I suddenly became a huge fan or anything. More like I started noticing him here and there.

It kinda clicked for me then. Maybe my shed project didn’t need to be perfect right away. Maybe it just needed to get done, even if it was a bit rough around the edges initially. Like that goal, the result was the main thing.
So, I went back out there the next weekend. Didn’t worry about making it look brand new. Just focused on making it solid, stopping the leaks, replacing the worst bits of wood. Used whatever I had lying around for some patches. It wasn’t beautiful, still isn’t really. But it’s sturdy now, does the job. Keeps the rain out.
It’s strange how watching someone grafting on a football pitch can sort of mirror your own little battles. You just gotta keep plugging away, find a way to get it over the line. Doesn’t always have to be elegant, just effective. Yeah, that’s what watching Magennis play kinda reminded me of during that whole shed saga.
