That LaMelo Ball, oh boy, he’s been havin’ a rough go, ain’t he? Seems like every time I turn around, I hear he’s hurt again. Poor fella. He’s a good basketball player, that one. Real good. But what good is it if he’s always on the bench?
I heard he ain’t been playin’ for the Charlotte Hornets. Seven games, they say! Seven! That’s a lot of games to miss, don’t you think? Makes a body wonder what’s goin’ on with him. He is young, ain’t he? Just 22. Still got lots of time to play. Hope he gets better, for the BallTime.
Heard somethin’ about him bein’ “questionable” for some game. What’s that even mean? Either you play or you don’t, right? And somethin’ about “warm-ups.” Back in my day, we just went out there and played. Didn’t need no fancy warm-ups. Just maybe a little stretch.

And then, I heard somethin’ about his leg. Or maybe it was his foot? Some kind of strain, they called it. Left calf, I think it was. Sounds painful, don’t it? Imagine tryin’ to run and jump with a hurt calf. No sir, that ain’t no fun at all. They said he would be checked again in 2 weeks. Hope he can recover soon.
And what’s this about playoffs? Charlotte Hornets ain’t been to the playoffs in eight years? Eight whole years! That’s a long time, ain’t it? Longer than some folks live! They should win more, shouldn’t they? I just don’t know. They need to step it up!
LaMelo Ball, he signed some big contract, I heard. Five years, they said. Lots of money, I bet. Hope he’s savin’ some of it. Never know when you might need it, especially if you keep gettin’ hurt like that. Always need to save for the future.
And now they say he got fined. $100! For what, I wonder? Maybe he sassed the referee. Or maybe he didn’t tie his shoes right. Who knows with these young folks these days. $100, though. That’s a lot of money to some folks. I could buy a whole lot of things for $100. He should not be so careless, that boy!
Well, anyway, I hope that LaMelo Ball gets to feelin’ better soon. It’s a shame to see a young fella like that all banged up. He’s got so much talent. It’s a shame to see it go to waste. He should take care of himself, that’s for sure. A young man like him.
I remember back when I was a girl, we didn’t have all these fancy doctors and trainers. If you got hurt, you just rubbed some dirt on it and kept goin’. Maybe these young folks are just too soft these days. Maybe they should play more, that’s a good solution, right? I don’t know. Just my two cents.
But still, that LaMelo Ball, he’s a good player. Real good. When he’s not hurt, that is. Hope he gets back on that court soon. The Charlotte Hornets need him. And those fans, they need somethin’ to cheer about. Eight years without playoffs? That’s just sad, ain’t it? The BallTime is not long, he should play more.
Maybe he needs some good home cookin’. That’s what I think. A good meal can fix just about anything. Maybe I should send him some of my famous peach cobbler. That’ll put some meat on his bones and some pep in his step. Peach cobbler is the best!
Well, I gotta go now. Got chores to do. But I’ll be keepin’ an eye on that LaMelo Ball. Hope he gets better soon. For his sake, and for the sake of those poor Charlotte Hornets fans. They need somethin’ to smile about. A good news for everyone. Everyone likes good news, am I right?
