John Dalys Drink Explained: A Simple Guide to Ingredients and Preparation for This Golf Classic!

Must read

Alright, folks, gather ’round. Today, I’m gonna share my little adventure with a drink called the “John Daly.” Now, I’m no bartender, but I do enjoy a good, refreshing drink, especially when it’s got a bit of a kick. So, I stumbled upon this recipe online, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”

First off, I had to get my hands on the ingredients. The John Daly is basically a boozy version of the Arnold Palmer, which is just iced tea and lemonade mixed together. But for the John Daly, you gotta add some vodka into the mix. So, I made a quick run to the store and picked up a bottle of vodka, some lemonade, and some iced tea.

  • Vodka: Any brand works, but I went with a mid-shelf one.
  • Lemonade: I grabbed a carton of the ready-made stuff.
  • Iced Tea: Same as the lemonade, just got a regular bottle of it.

Once I had everything assembled, it was time to get down to business. I grabbed a tall glass and filled it with ice. Then, I poured in equal parts of iced tea and lemonade. I’d say about halfway full with each. Honestly, I just eyeballed it.

Next came the fun part – adding the vodka. I poured in a couple of shots, I did it to taste, really. If you like it stronger, add more. If you want it lighter, go easy on it. I mixed everything with a long spoon, making sure the vodka was nicely blended with the tea and lemonade.

Finally, I gave it a taste. I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. And you know what? It wasn’t half bad! It was refreshing, had a nice little kick from the vodka, and the sweetness of the lemonade balanced out the tea perfectly. It’s definitely a simple drink, but sometimes, simple is good.

So, there you have it – my experience making and trying the John Daly. It’s a great drink for a hot day, a party, or just when you want something easy and tasty. I’d say it’s a winner in my book. Give it a try sometime, and let me know what you think. Cheers!
