Alright, let me tell you about this Joel Dahmen thing I’ve been following. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but here’s the gist of it.

I really wanted to see him kill it.
Then I saw he withdrew from the Puerto Rico Open. That was a bummer. I was thinking maybe he’s got something going on, family thing or injury. You never really know. Decided to dig around a bit, see if I could find any news.
Started just googling “Joel Dahmen 2024”. Saw some stuff about him keeping his card for next season. That was good news. Means he’s still in the game. But still didn’t find anything concrete about why he bailed on Puerto Rico.
Remembered seeing something about his caddie. So I started digging into that angle. Ah, Bonnalie! That’s the guy’s name. Read some stuff about their partnership, how Bonnalie started out making peanuts. $850 a week! That’s crazy. But it seems like they make a good team.

Listened to a couple. Nothing specific about the Puerto Rico withdrawal, but got some good insights into Dahmen’s general mindset and how he approaches the game.
What I really wanted to know was why the withdraw. I scrolled through some social media, his and Bonnalie’s. Nada. It’s like a vault in there. Nothing beyond the usual stuff, the game etc.
I started thinking, maybe I am investing a little too much time in this random golf dude! It’s not like he is a childhood friend or anything!
Anyways, I will keep looking, maybe something will pop up. Maybe I will just keep watching his performances and see if I can spot a clue or pattern.
