Okay, so, I saw this picture of Joe Burrow, right? And the dude’s got this awesome long hair. Not just any long hair mind you. It’s like, perfectly messy, you know? I got this crazy idea: “I want that hair.” So I started my little mission to get that Joe Burrow long hair look. I mean, I’ve always had kinda short hair, never really let it grow out before. But I figured, why not? Let’s give it a shot.
First thing I did was, obviously, stop getting haircuts. Which, you know, sounds easy but it’s a real test of patience. And man, those awkward hair stages? They’re the worst! There were days I felt like I just had a bird’s nest on my head, I looked ridiculous. I was tempted to just chop it all off so many times, but I kept thinking about that picture of Burrow. I looked at that picture a lot, probably every other day or so.
Then, I started looking into how to take care of longer hair. I used to just use whatever shampoo was in the shower, but that wasn’t gonna cut it anymore. I found this shampoo and conditioner that are supposed to be good for growth, and I started using those every other day. And I got this leave-in conditioner spray that I put in after I showered, while my hair was still wet.
- Stopped getting haircuts
- Used a special shampoo and conditioner for hair growth
- Used a leave-in conditioner spray
- Brushed my hair every morning and night
I also started brushing my hair more, like, every morning and every night, with this boar bristle brush I picked up. I never really brushed my hair before, but now I had to start to keep it from getting all tangled up, especially when sleeping or when I did sports.
It took months, like, a lot of months. But slowly, my hair started getting longer. It was a slow process. But it was working! It wasn’t just longer though, it actually felt healthier, too. It looked shinier, and it felt way softer. I think all that brushing and conditioning actually did something, who knew?
The Results
Finally, after what felt like forever, I got there. I finally had that Joe Burrow long hair! Well, kinda. It wasn’t exactly the same, but it was long, and it had that same kind of messy, carefree vibe. I style it up with a little bit of hair product now, to give it that extra bit of texture. It is a whole lot of work, let me tell you. It takes a lot of time to maintain. I get how some people might not have the patience for it.

Honestly, it was a fun little experiment. Would I do it again? Maybe. It’s a lot of work, and those awkward stages are brutal. But I gotta say, I do like how it looks. It’s a whole different look for me, and it’s been kinda fun rocking it. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments, which is cool. Maybe I’ll keep it for a while longer, see how it goes. We’ll see. Maybe I’ll get sick of it and shave it all off tomorrow. Who knows?
