Next, I hit up all the usual spots – Reddit, fan forums, YouTube theory videos, you name it. I read through tons of comments and discussions. Some people thought it was an accident, some thought Yuji was being controlled by Sukuna… it was a mess! Some people thought other thing. I listed all the different ideas and all those websites I’ve been.
Putting the Pieces Together
- I started to see a pattern. Most people agreed that Sukuna was at least partially in control during that fight.
- Then I remembered something crucial: Sukuna’s technique, “Cleave,” can be used to slice through anything.
- And it hit me.
The Conclusion (My Theory)
I believe that while Yuji was fighting with all his might to protect Inumaki and the others, Sukuna’s influence was too strong. In that split second, Sukuna’s power took over, and he used “Cleave” – not intending to hit Inumaki, but because it’s his instinctual attack. It was a tragic consequence of Sukuna’s immense power and Yuji’s struggle to contain him. It makes the whole thing even more heartbreaking, right?
