How to Watch Detroit Lions Football? Streaming and TV Guide for Fans!

Must read

Okay, so, I’ve been a Lions fan for, like, ever. And this season? Man, it’s been a rollercoaster! But, hey, I’m all in, and I gotta watch every game. Figuring out how to watch them, though, that’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you. Here is my story about watching my team games.

First things first, I grabbed my phone and started poking around. I knew there had to be some apps out there. Turns out, NFL+ is a thing. It’s pretty cool because you can watch live local games and even those primetime ones right on your phone. Plus, they have game replays, which is sweet for catching up if I miss something.

I did check the apps and found I could watch the live games on Peacock too. So I downloaded it just in case.

But, here’s the deal, I wanted options, you know? So I started looking at those streaming TV services. YouTube TV? Yep, they’ve got CBS, ESPN, Fox, NBC, and even the NFL Network. Since I am in Detroit, that means I could catch pretty much all the Lions games there.

  • Then I found Fubo. They offer a free trial, so that’s a good way to check them out without paying.
  • Sling is another one I looked into. It’s a bit cheaper, but you gotta make sure they have the channels you need.
  • Hulu + Live TV, it’s a bit expensive but it has ESPN, ABC, BTN, FOX, FS1, CBS, ACC Network, SEC Network.

I dug a bit deeper. Turns out, ESPN+ is gonna have some of those Monday Night Football games that are on ABC or ESPN. I heard the Lions are gonna be on there a couple of times this season.

And for those Monday Night games, you can just watch them straight up on ESPN. They say they have like 200 live NFL games.

Oh, and depending on where you live, the TV coverage might be different. Like, sometimes it’s on CBS, sometimes it’s ESPN or ABC. They even have those ESPN Deportes for Spanish broadcasts and TSN3/4, CTV Network in Canada. You can even look up those TV maps online to see what’s available in your area.

Sometimes it is free to watch on Prime Video or DAZN, but sometimes it is not. So I still keep looking for them.

I also heard that the Lions are gonna be on Sunday Night Football against the Jaguars to end the regular season. I think they said Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth will be doing the commentary for that one. That’s gonna be a big one!

If you’re like me and don’t want to miss a single snap, it might take a little digging. But trust me, it’s worth it to cheer on our team! Go Lions!
