How Much Can Josh Allen Bench Press? See Impressive Stats.

Must read

Okay, so I saw this thing online about Josh Allen’s bench press, and I got curious. I mean, the guy’s a beast on the field, but how much can he actually lift? I decided to kinda, sorta, try to follow along with what I think his training might be like. Obviously, I’m no NFL quarterback, so this was purely for fun and my own curiosity.

How Much Can Josh Allen Bench Press? See Impressive Stats.

Getting Started (and Feeling Weak)

First, I needed a baseline. I haven’t seriously benched in… well, let’s just say a while. I hopped on the bench at my local gym, slapped on some modest weight, and did a few reps. It wasn’t pretty. I managed to push up 135 pounds for a shaky set of 5. Not terrible, but definitely not Josh Allen level.

The “Workout” (My Best Guess)

I figured, based on absolutely nothing but internet speculation, that a guy like Allen probably focuses on explosive power and strength. So I tried to incorporate that into my own workout. This is what I did:

  • Warm-up: Just some light cardio on the bike and some dynamic stretching, you know, arm circles, shoulder rotations, that kind of stuff.
  • Bench Press: I worked up to a heavier set of 3 reps. I added some weight each set, starting from that initial 135. I aimed for something that felt challenging but not impossible. I hit 175 for 3, which felt heavy.
  • Incline Dumbbell Press: I figured this works the upper chest, which probably helps with throwing power. I did 3 sets of 8 with whatever weight felt appropriately tough.
  • Accessory Work: I threw in some rows and pull-ups to work the back muscles, figuring that’s gotta be important for overall strength and balance. Plus, some triceps extensions because, well, strong arms.

The Results (or Lack Thereof)

Honestly, the main result was that I was sore the next day. My chest felt tight, my arms were tired, and I definitely didn’t magically transform into an NFL quarterback. But it was kinda fun to push myself and see what I could do. It also gave me a whole new appreciation for the kind of strength and power these athletes have. It’s seriously impressive. I’m nowhere near Josh Allen’s bench press, and that’s perfectly okay. It was a good reminder that those guys are on a whole different level.

This experiment is finished and it just for fun. I need keep working out.
