Today I wondered: how long is the Wonka movie running in cinemas? Maybe it got extended? So I opened up Google on my phone while eating breakfast.

First I typed “Wonka movie runtime”. Saw many sites saying 1 hour 56 minutes. But hold up! One forum post claimed it got longer after release. No official links though.
Step 2: Checking Cinema Listings
Next, I opened three cinema apps on my tablet. Scrolled through showtimes:

- No special “extended version” tags anywhere
- Release dates matched old schedule
Felt confused because that forum guy sounded so sure.
Step 3: Calling Theaters Directly
Grabbed my keys and drove to the mall. Asked staff at three different theaters:

Final Realization
Turns out people confused total theater time (ads+previews+movie) with actual runtime. Saw someone complain their showing took 2h30m – no kidding with 25 minutes of ads! The movie itself? Still 1h56m. Case closed.
