How Fast Is Smallest Go Kart? Real Speed And Turning Tests!

Must read

So I got this crazy idea to test out one of those super tiny go karts everyone sees online. You know, the ones that look like toys but claim they’re real vehicles? Grabbed the cheapest one Amazon sells and ripped open the box last Saturday morning.

How Fast Is Smallest Go Kart? Real Speed And Turning Tests!

First Impressions & Setup Mess

Straight outta the box, this thing felt flimsy. Plastic everywhere, wobbly wheels – just screamed “fall apart soon”. Took me like two hours just to screw everything together because the instructions were pure garbage. Seriously, the diagrams looked like they were drawn by a sleepy toddler. Finally got it assembled though, slapped the battery in, and heard this weak little motor buzz to life. Wasn’t exactly roaring like a beast, hah.

Testing That Speed Claim

The ad screamed “UP TO 25 MPH!” Yeah right. Hooked up my GPS speedometer app, put my heaviest backpack in the driver seat (no way I was trusting my butt to this plastic throne), and whacked the throttle. Man, that acceleration was sad. Took forever just to crawl up to top speed. Went back and forth down my empty street five times. Results? Pathetic:

  • Flat ground: topped out at 18 kmh (like 11 mph)
  • Slight downhill: hit 28 kmh (17 mph) once
  • Grassy lawn: basically walking speed

Felt slower than my grandma’s mobility scooter. And the battery? Drained halfway after just 20 minutes of this.

Cornering? More Like Tipping

Okay, speed’s a joke – what about handling? Turned the wheel sharp at slow speed… and immediately heard plastic scraping concrete. The wheels don’t really “turn” much; it’s more of a suggestion. Tried again going faster down my driveway. Big mistake. The kart leaned SO hard I thought it’d flip. Nearly took out my trash cans. Tried drifting on loose gravel – just spun in a sad little circle like a confused dog. Zero control. Felt sketchy as hell.

Final Thoughts (and Regrets)

Honest truth? This tiny kart’s basically an overpriced, underpowered kiddie toy. Anyone over 60 pounds will feel like a gorilla trying to ride a tricycle. Speed’s half what they promise, corners like a brick on rollerskates, and feels like it’ll snap in a light breeze. Still, little kids would probably love it… for maybe a week before it breaks. Wasted half a Sunday testing this janky thing, and honestly? Kinda worth it just for the laughs. Would I buy one? Hell no. But I definitely got my weird YouTube content. Your move, Amazon ads.
