GP PT for Your Business: Is It Worth It?

Must read

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this idea of becoming a “gp pt” or whatever, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. At first, I had this picture in my mind of setting up my own little PT thing, you know, being my own boss and all that jazz.

I started by, like, really thinking about what I wanted. Did I want to be that traveling PT, living out of a trailer, or did I want to set up a shop somewhere? It was kind of a big deal, figuring out if I was ready to take risks with contracts and stuff or if I was more of a settled-down kind of guy. It was a tough decision, you know?

Then, I got down to the nitty-gritty. I did a lot of reading, trying to figure out all the steps to opening a PT practice. It felt overwhelming at times, man. Like, there’s so much to think about! I jotted down a bunch of ideas, like, 20 or something, of things I needed to do. I even started looking at names and stuff!

  • Thinking about what I really want.
  • Doing a ton of reading.
  • Jotting down ideas.
  • Started the nitty-gritty.
  • Actually making it happen.

After a while, I started looking at the numbers side of things. You know, how to make sure I’m not just doing this for fun, but actually making some money. That part was a bit scary, not gonna lie. Numbers have never been my thing. I mean, every PT business has to deal with numbers, right?

Then came the time to actually, you know, do it. I had a moment where I felt, “Yeah, this is a good business decision!” So, I just started doing all those things I had written down. It was a lot of work, and I probably missed a few steps along the way, but hey, I was learning.

Finally, after all that, I realized something. It’s not just about setting up a practice or being your own boss. It’s about the journey, the whole process of figuring things out and making it happen. And you know what? It’s been pretty cool so far. If you’re thinking about doing this “gp pt” thing, just be prepared for a wild ride, my friend.

In the end, it all boils down to what you really want. But be warned, it’s not as easy as it looks. It’s a real grind, but hey, it’s an adventure, right? And who knows, maybe I’ll figure it all out one day.

Conclusion

So, that’s my story about this whole “gp pt” thing. It’s been a mix of excitement, confusion, and a whole lot of “what am I doing?” moments. But I’m still here, still figuring it out, one step at a time.
